Every year over the four day holiday weekend, we gather together for Thanksgiving Council. This is the first council of the focalizing, planning, brain storming, putting energy towards the next gathering. As with all things Rainbow, no experience is necessary and all peaceful people are welcome.
This council normally sets the dates for one or two scout rendevouzes and spring council. Usually an interim banking council is formed, often a mailing address established, sometimes a lightline is set up.
People council on a wide range of issues related to the gathering, talk about any scouting efforts that may be have been done between Vision Council and Thanksgiving Council, and try to focus intentions for the 2012 gathering. Generally the exact location isn't known until a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving. However, planning for the council has already started. If you're not plugged into this effort and want to be, please email me and I'll hook you up. Here's hoping for strong support from folks in the regions selected for 2012.
Karin's Rainbow Gathering 2012 news and ideas for creating a safe, fun and healing annual gathering of the tribes somewhere along the north or south end of the Appalachian Mountains, July 1 - 7, 2012.
As with all things related to Rainbow Gatherings, this is not an official source of information and represents my thoughts and opinions only. Other people will have different ideas. Email me if you wish.
